• Find out who are YOUR legislators
    • www.leg.wa.gov
    • Upper left corner, click on “Find your District”
    • District Finder
      • Type in home address
      • Identify your two representatives and one senator
  • Contact them!
    • You can contact your legislators directly by various methods by clicking on their name. The following are ways you may contact your legislators personally
      • Email
      • Phone
      • Written letters/post cards
      • The Legislative Hotline (open M-F 8 am to 7 pm) 1-800-562-6000

 

They will ask your name and address and then will let you list several bill numbers and state your support or opposition and a brief comment: “I urge your support/opposition on this bill because…”

 

  • OR comment through the bill directly!
    • Go to legislative website (www.leg.wa.gov)
    • Click on “bill information” on the left
    • Type in Bill number
    • On the right-hand side, click on “Comment here”
    • Fill out the required comment boxes (it will automatically figure out your district after you type in your address).  Be sure to click select all three of your legislators.  Click that you support the bill and add your personal (short) comment: “I support/ I don’t support this bill because…”
