Share bikes, tools, tentsFederal Way Tool Library

Zero Waste Washington is working to support the creation of a community Tool Library in Federal Way. We've been collaborating with the City of Federal Way to develop a leadership team that will create and sustain a lending library in the area.

Building leaders for this project!

  • There is a community planning meeting every 1st Wednesday at noon at the Federal Way City Hall. Anyone interested in the project is welcome to join.
  • We are talking to residents, community leaders, organizations, schools, and neighborhood groups to find interest. Do you know someone who might be interested? Let us know! Invite us to an upcoming neighborhood or PTA meeting!

Determining what type of sharing project the community wants!

  • We want to build a lending library that the community wants most! Zero Waste is surveying community members in south King County and Tacoma to figure this out. We are asking questions like: "what types of things you want to be able to borrow?" "how far would you travel for it?" "do you prefer an online interface or someone answering the phone?" If you live in the area, please take a couple minutes to fill out this short survey. Send it to your friends and family!
